This is Grandpa, Bly and the girls at Frisco Mine, Utah. These stone looking things behind them are "smelters", I think is what Grandpa said. It was so unbelievably cold and windy, Rose didn't want to get out of the car. If you click on the photo I think you can see how red the girls faces are from the cold.

The mine is a very interesting place to explore...if it's not so cold! They used these smelters to melt the silver they got from the mines. very interesting!

While we were at Grandpa's house it started to snow! Since we don't see a lot of snow in our desert home, the girls just had to go out and play in it...

Ramsay and Alisyn invented their own sort of hockey game with two of Grandpa's broom handles and a tin can. What amazes me is, this is something they could have probably done without snow but... somehow, snow seems to cast some sort of spell and suddenly the world becomes a magical playground.

On our way home we stopped at Lee's Ferry to see where the pioneers used to cross the Colorado River. Weren't our pioneer ancestors amazing!!!

What great family time. I love to go up in the mountains in Utah it is so relaxing
